Sprinkler Systems: Inspection, testing, and maintenance intervals

The readiness of a sprinkler system to respond in an emergency is a direct result of inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) procedures. Sprinkler system ITM procedures should be performed by qualified contractors, who will certify the system and provide a list of deficiencies, where applicable. All ITM procedures should be conducted in accordance with NFPA 25 – Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems (NFPA 25).
